Mr Dehne Approach to fast recovery in joint replacement surgery
Mr Dehne travelled to Italy to meet Professor Henrik Kehlet, the father of Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS).
Following deep discussions, Mr Dehne developed, Based on development of ERAS principles, his principles of fast recovery in orthopaedic surgery. These principles are:
1. Patient education and Prehab
2. Minimal tissue disruptions during surgery
3. Process innovation in surgery, each surgical step is thoroughly improved to achieve efficient surgical process.
4. Carefully developed injections during joint replacement surgery, these are injected to achieve pain relief, reduce blood loss.
